Adoption Process

How to become a guardian home, step by step:

Research

Find out what breed would be the best for your family. If you find that the breeds we specialize in would be a good fit, reach out to us

Review Requirements

Guardian Homes aren’t for everyone. Please see our Guardian Home Requirements → to get a good idea of what guardianship will look like for a Snow Peak Paws’ puppy.

Fill Out Application

If you meet requirements and are ready to bring a puppy into your home, fill out the Guardian Home Application →

Phone Interview

We will reach out to schedule a phone interview with you. We will ask you questions, about yourself and your home and access whether you’d be a good fit for the Guardian Home program. If so, you will move on to the next stage of the process.

In-Home Interview

We will need to visit your home and access whether your home would be a good placement for one of our breeding dogs.

Placement

If you are accepted into the program, we will have you sign your guardian home contract and establish modes of communication, expectations and when you can expect to welcome your new puppy.
